It has won rave reviews. It is largely because of having gone the extra mile on the middle-of-the-road cinema and being able to win hearts. Deserves praise. Transcends barriers of language too. I liked it...... if not 'super-liked' it.
Liked the emotional content, which seems to be the directors' forte. I found Tagore's opera to be the film's real USP. Nigel's life-story has given Muktodhara its share of realism.... I just wish the film was toned down, in parts, to suit the edgy dynamism that the subject demanded.
